Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft successfully launched the first of two offshore seismic vessels for the WesternGeco concern. The ship was Hull No. FSG 760 and she was named Amazon Warrior.

The DOF Subsea Group has been awarded contracts with a total value of USD 800 million, including options.

3. Allseas to Build Platform Installation and Decommissioning Vessel

Swiss-based Allseas has decided to build a second single-lift platform installation and decommissioning vessel.

5. UK: North Sea Kraken Oil Field Gets Green Light

EnQuest PLC, the largest UK independent oil company in the UK North Sea, has given its go-ahead for a £4 billion investment in the c.140 million barrel oil field Kraken development, set to generate billions of revenue for taxpayers and to support an estimated 20,000 jobs during the project’s construction period and an average of approximately 1,000 operational jobs a year over the course of its 25 year life.
