Norsafe Recaptures World Record for Free-Fall Lifeboats (VIDEO)

At 7:50pm on Tuesday 3rd September, the world’s most advanced free-fall lifeboat performed a successful drop from a height of 66.8 metres. This is a new world record for free-fall lifeboats, and Norsafe has hereby reclaimed its record, which has been in the company’s possession since 1999, with only two brief exceptions.

Vroon Takes Delivery of MV Galloway Express

Vroon announced that on Monday 23 September 2013, the company took delivery of MV Galloway Express. Galloway Express is the first of four livestock carriers being constructed at the Cosco Shipyard in Guangdong for Vroon. Royal Caribbean International cut the first piece of steel today for its third Oasis-class ship, marking the first construction milestone for a vessel that, at approximately 227,700 GRT, will be the world’s largest and most innovative cruise ship.
