Keppel FELS Wins USD 280 Mln Accommodation Vessel Contract

Keppel FELS Limited has been awarded a contract worth about US$280 million by Floatel International Ltd, to build its fifth accommodation semisubmersible (semi) for delivery in 4Q 2015.Keppel FELS previously delivered the accommodation semis, Floatel Superior and Floatel Reliance, in 2010 and is currently constructing two more – Floatel Victory and Floatel Endurance.

SHI Bags USD 400 Mln Contract

Samsung Heavy Industries Co Ltd announced today in its regulatory filing that the company has secured an order worth USD 400 million for the construction of two LNG carriers.

Hyundai Mipo Pens Deal to Build 4 Product Carriers

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard announced today in its regulatory filing to the Korea Stock Exchange that the company has won an order worth USD 132,8 million for the construction of four product carriers. The contract was signed on August 20, 2013 and the order came from an unknown European ship owner.

DSME to Build USD 230 Mln Worth Warship

DSME received an order for a combat support ship from the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organization. The value of this contract is approximately 230 million USD. The warship is scheduled to be delivered to the Norwegian Navy in September 2016.

DFDS’ New Ro/Ro Vessel Named at Volkswerft Stralsund Shipyard

The Danish shipping company DFDS and Volkswerft Stralsund reached an important milestone today with the naming ceremony of new-build no. 500: On the fitting-out quay at the shipyard the special-purpose Ro/Ro vessel was named “ARK GERMANIA” by Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka, German Federal Minister of Education and Research, in the presence of 150 invited guests.
