Transas' Vessel Traffic Monitoring System for China WTI

Transas China has signed a contract with China Waterborne Transport Research Institute (WTI) for the supply and commissioning of the Vessel Traffic Monitoring Solution.

Under the contract, Transas will provide a complete Vessel Traffic Monitoring Solution, based on proven Navi-Monitor 4.40, including operator display unit (ODU), radar processing system, VTS server, AIS base station and additional equipment. Transas Vessel Traffic Monitoring System will be integrated to the new customized Chinese Port Management Information System (PMIS) for real-time data exchange.

The Waterborne Transport Research Institute (WTI) operates under the Ministry of Transport in China and specializes in waterborne transport research, consultancy, project design, product development and training. Shipping/port development strategies, environment protection, MIS, port automation systems are also included in the principle works. At the national level, the WTI mainly focuses on macro-analysis and decision support on the waterborne transport industry.
