Trinidad LNG Heads for Spain

Trinidad and Tobago’s Point Fortin LNG terminal

Trinidad and Tobago’s Point Fortin LNG export terminal, one of the world’s largest producers, shipped a cargo of liquefied natural gas to Spain on Monday, shipping data shows.

The cargo is being carried by the 138,000 cbm Sestao Knutsen, and it is due to arrive at the Barcelona LNG terminal on January 15.

The Point Fortin four-train liquefaction facility is the largest single contributor to Trinidad and Tobago’s exports.

Its annual production represents more than half of the economic contribution of the entire refining sector.
