Tunoe Knob Offshore Wind Farm Still Spinning (Denmark)

Ten turbines at Tunoe Knob in Denmark mark the very beginning of the offshore era in Vestas. Built in 1995, they are the oldest Vestas turbines located offshore.

Looking ahead properly sometimes also requires looking back.

On the brink of a new era of offshore wind power plants and giant turbines, ten 500 kW turbines on a sandy reef in the inland sea of Denmark remind us what focus on quality and effectiveness means over time.

16 years after they were commissioned, Vestas’ oldest offshore turbines at Tunoe Knob still produce power.
