Turkish Shipbuilders Association Holds 42nd Annual General Meeting

42nd Annual General Meeting of Turkish Shipbuilders Association (GİSBİR) was held in Tuzla bay on May 29th 2012.

All the 56 members of the Association but one attended the general meeting, making a new record attendance in the history of GİSBİR.

The General Meeting discussed the pre-determined agenda and then the members were briefed by the Chairman Murak Kıran on the main issues faced by Turkish shipbuilding industry as well as the administrative and financial issues of GİSBİR.

During the General meeting, members of GİSBİR also elected the new Board to serve for next three years. The Board members were increased from seven to eleven in order to be able to cover more efficiently ever growing issues dealt by GİSBİR.

After the elections, the new Board of GİSBİR consists of:

Orkun Özek – Treasurer
