U.S. offshore rig count down by one unit

offshoreThe U.S. offshore rig count dropped by one unit last week, according to a weekly rig counts report by the oilfield services provider Baker Hughes. 

BHI Rig Count: U.S +4 to 597 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last week to 597, with oil rigs up 3 to 477, gas rigs up 1 to 119, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 140 rigs from last year’s count of 737, with oil rigs down 68, gas rigs down 73, and miscellaneous rigs up 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is 22, down 1 rig from last week, and down 3 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada +26 to 200

Canadian Rig Count is up 26 rigs from last week to 200, with oil rigs up 6 to 100, gas rigs up 20 to 98, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

Canadian Rig Count is up 23 rigs from last year’s count of 177, with oil rigs up 23, gas rigs down 2, and miscellaneous rigs up 2.
