U.S. offshore rig count down to 17 units

The number of U.S. offshore rigs dropped to 17 units this past week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes.


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +3 at 978 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week at 978, with oil rigs up 1 to 799, gas rigs up 2 at 179, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

U.S. Rig Count is up 224 rigs from last year’s count of 754, with oil rigs up 197, gas rigs up 28, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 rig to 17 and unchanged year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -12 to 306 rigs

 

Canada Rig Count is down 12 rigs from last week to 306, with oil rigs down 9 to 209 and gas rigs down 3 to 97.

Canada Rig Count is down 35 rigs from last year’s count of 341, with oil rigs up 3 and gas rigs down 38.
