U.S. offshore rig count rises to 57

U.S. Rig Count is up 7 rigs from last week to 1771, with oil rigs up 2 to 1425, gas rigs up 5 to 342, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 4, Baker Hughes Incorporated said in its Weekly Rig Count.

According to the report, issued Friday, U.S. Rig Count is up 10 rigs from last year at 1761, with oil rigs up 96, gas rigs down 86, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 57, up 3 rigs from last week, and up 4 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada +8 to 632 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is up 8 rigs from last week to 632, with oil rigs up 7 to 422, and gas rigs up 1 to 210.

Canadian Rig Count is down 30 rigs from last year at 662, with oil rigs down 82, and gas rigs up 52.
