U.S. offshore rig count stands at 12 for five weeks on the trot

The U.S. offshore rig count stayed flat again, as the number of active rigs is steady at 12 for the fifth week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -4 to 247 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 4 from last week at 247 with oil rigs down 4 to 176, gas rigs unchanged at 69, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. count is down 687 rigs from last year’s count of 934, with oil rigs down 588, gas rigs down 100, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore count is unchanged at 12 and down 11 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +2 rigs to 47 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 2 rigs from last week to 47, with oil rigs up 2 to 13, gas rigs up 1 to 34, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0

The Canadian count is down 93 rigs from last year’s count of 140, with oil rigs down 81 and gas rigs down 12 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0.
