U.S. weekly offshore rig count drops to 55

 U.S. Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 1769, with oil rigs up 5 to 1430, gas rigs down 7 to 335, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 4, Baker Hughes Incorporated said in its Weekly Rig Count published Friday.

U.S. Rig Count is up 12 rigs from last year at 1757, with oil rigs up 97, gas rigs down 85, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 55, down 2 rigs from last week, and up 3 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada – 6 to 626 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 6 rigs from last week to 626, with oil rigs up 1 to 423, and gas rigs down 7 to 203.

Canadian Rig Count is down 29 rigs from last year at 655, with oil rigs down 86, and gas rigs up 57.
