U.S. weekly rig count: Offshore rigs down by two

After the number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. stood still at 22 for two weeks, the offshore rig count has fallen and now stands at 20. This is according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company.


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. -8 to 928 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 8 rigs from last week to 928, with oil rigs down by 5 to 743, gas rigs down by two to 185, with miscellaneous rigs down by 1 to 0.

U.S. Rig Count is up 389 rigs from last year’s count of 539, with oil rigs up 311, gas rigs up 80, and miscellaneous rigs down 2 to 2.

 

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week at 20 and down 3 rigs year-over-year.

 

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +3 to 212 rigs


Canada Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week to 212, with oil rigs unchanged at 112 and gas rigs up 3 to 100.

Canada Rig Count is up 47 rigs from last year’s count of 165, with oil rigs up 22 and gas rigs up 25.
