Atkins to Provide Technical and Safety Engineering Services to Shell

Atkins has been selected to provide safety engineering services to Shell under a new Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA).

The contract, which began in January and is set to run for four years, will position Atkins to provide technical and safety engineering services to Shell’s onshore and offshore assets worldwide.

Alex Campbell, Managing Director of Oil & Gas at Atkins said: “Atkins has worked with Shell on many projects over the years and we are confident in our ability to meet the requirements of their global operation through our strong technical capability in the field of human factors engineering, along with our ability to provide services on a worldwide scale through our many centres of technical excellence”.

Atkins has worked with Shell in the North Sea, USA, Africa, Canada and Western Australia, including work on the Prelude FLNG project where the company provided safety assessments and risk management services to the Technip Samsung Consortium.
