UK: Awilco Drilling Secures Contract for WilHunter Rig

Awilco Drilling PLC confirmed last week that the contract with Endeavour Energy UK Ltd for the provision of WilHunter for their Rochelle development program is signed.

The contract is expected to commence late Q1 2012.

To remind, Awilco Drilling PLC had signed on October 5th a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Endeavour Energy UK Ltd for the provision of the rig for their Rochelle development program. The contract duration is estimated to be about 150 days with a contract value of approximately USD 37 million. The contract is expected to commence late Q1 2012.

WilHunter is one of Awilco Drilling’s two Enhanced Pacesetter semi-submersibles and is equipped for drilling in water depths up to 1,500 ft.
