UK: Bibby Offshore Holdings Makes Board Appointments


Bibby Offshore Holdings Limited, the holding company of Aberdeen-based subsea construction and IRM firm, Bibby Offshore, has made two board appointments.

Andrew Duncan and Jeremy Punnett have been appointed to the positions of business & commercial director and strategic & corporate development director respectively. Both are new positions, created following a management restructure with in Bibby Offshore.

Mr Duncan, who has held the position of subsea business manager for Bibby Offshore since 2005, began his career in the offshore oil and gas industry some 20 years ago. Jeremy Punnett, a graduate of Auckland University, New Zealand worked as a management consultant for ten years before joining Bibby Offshore in 2007 as strategic development executive.

Commenting, Bibby Offshore Holdings chief executive, Howard Woodcock, said: “During their time with Bibby Offshore both Andrew and Jeremy have been instrumental in the development of the business. Their appointment to our board is not only much deserved, but will be key to the continued development of our business worldwide.”

Bibby Offshore established its Aberdeen operation in 2003 and now has project management and engineering facilities in Aberdeen, Trinidad and Singapore. The company recently gained approval from the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) to undertake its own diving operations. An area of its business which had traditionally been outsourced. The increased service capability has been rolled out in two phases, beginning on the 1st of April 2010 when diving operations onboard it’s Singapore-based DSV, the Bibby Aquamarine were brought in-house. On 1st October 2010 its North Sea-based DSV’s, the Bibby Sapphire and Bibby Topaz will follow suit.
