UK: Naming Ceremony for VOS Vigilant

Vroon Offshore Services (VOS), a shipping company established a century ago in the Port of Breskens, the Netherlands, announced that the naming ceremony of VOS Vigilant took place, in Aberdeen, UK, on Friday, February 24.

The vessel was christened by Mrs Annthea Hardie, wife of Mr Mark Hardie, BP Logistics and Infrastructure Manager.

VOS Vigilant, a field-support vessel, is the penultimate in a series constructed for Vroon at the Astilleros Zamakona Shipyard, Pasaia. The vessel is part of Vroon’s extensive fleet of modern vessels providing a range of emergency response and cargo support to the offshore industry.

The 60 meters long vessel is operated by Vroon Offshore Services Ltd. in Aberdeen and is currently on a long-term time charter to BP.
