UK: QinetiQ GRC Launches Marine Design Tool Paramarine Version 7

QinetiQ GRC combined its annual user event with the official launch of Paramarine version 7. The launch event was held on HMS Warrior in Portsmouth harbour and was attended by a large number of Paramarine users drawn from both the commercial and defence sectors. When commissioned on August 1st 1861, Warrior was the largest warship in the world, at 9,210 tons displacement.

The launch event was combined with the annual user group meeting which saw presentations from a number of users of Paramarine including BAE, the MOD and University College London (UCL). In addition a number of workshops were held covering topics such as reporting, stability enhancements and Team Paramarine which features the newly introduced multi-user capabilities of Paramarine.

We are seeing excellent momentum in the market for Paramarine which is being adopted by more and more ship designers drawn from both the commercial and defence world. With the launch of the latest version coupled with our ongoing investment in the product we very optimistic that the adoption of Paramarine as the marine design tool of choice will only accelerate,” commented Vittorio Vagliani, Managing Director, QinetiQ GRC.
