UK: RSS Marine Carries Out Environmental Monitoring on Humber Gateway OWF
Team Humber Marine Alliance’s (THMA) member, RSS Marine, undertook environmental monitoring work on Humber Gateway offshore wind farm.
The RSS Marine team, based at Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, has managed the sampling of herring larvae as part of the site’s marine licence.
Simon Prince, general manager at RSS Marine, said: “We are building on our traditional business services of vessel chartering and fisheries consultancy with more bespoke environmental and survey work for a range of marine contractors and clients.”
Before it won this contract, the company completed a two-year guard vessel contract on the London Array wind farm. Its vessel Mary Ann 1, which was contracted to London Array Ltd, will work in the German wind sector following a refit.
