UK Students Investigate Renewable Energy Potential for Guernsey Government

University of Exeter‘s team of 24 students have conducted a research on the offshore wind, wave and tidal power possibilities for Guernsey’s Commerce and Employment Department, the BBC reports.

Lead officer for the Department’s Renewable Energy Team, Mat Desforges, commented that this is like an independent specialist examination and that the students could give an assessment from a different point of view.

Exeter’s renewable energy student, Michael Stephenson said energy security is a key matter for Guernsey.

At the end of their visit, students will present the report about renewable energy to the Department.
