UK: TWMA Appoints New Sales Director

Aberdeen-based integrated drilling waste and environmental services company TWMA has announced the appointment of Rob O’Neill as sales director.

In this role Mr O’Neill will be responsible for driving the continued global growth of the company, specifically in the target markets of the Americas, Norway, Middle East and North Africa regions whilst proactively seeking out opportunities in new locations.

Mr O’Neill joins the company with over 15 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry and a formidable background in business development, most recently holding the position of Director Europe and CIS at Workstrings International – part of the Superior Energy Services Company.

Based at TWMA’s Aberdeen Head Office, Mr O’Neill will develop a global growth strategy, expanding existing operations and targeting new regions to facilitate long term, sustainable business development.

Mr O’Neill will oversee a team of regional business development and technical sales managers, supporting the implementation of TWMA’s sales strategy, and directing and co-ordinating sales efforts to build lasting client relationships.

Mr O’Neill said: “TWMA is an established and experienced provider of integrated drilling waste and environmental services to the global oil and gas industry. A key objective of this role is to not only progress the company’s ongoing international growth but to support further ambitious expansion plans with a strategic approach to business development in each of the company’s existing and target regions.”

Ronnie Garrick, managing director at TWMA, said: “Mr O’Neill’s extensive overseas experience will be an important factor as we focus on international expansion in the coming year and beyond. We have recently launched our new Dubai office to support development of the MENA region and we are expanding our Houston operation with plans in place to move to a larger facility and continue an extensive recruitment programme to support our growing US business.

“Mr O’Neill also held the position of Associate Chair on the board of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) North Sea Chapter for the past two years. This highlights his dedication to and enthusiasm for the drilling industry at large and makes him a valuable asset to TWMA.”

TWMA is a single source provider for the management of energy industry waste streams and offers a full suite of premier drilling waste management and environmental services to minimise the environmental impact of oil and gas operations.

TWMA is a world leader in the handling and treatment of drilling wastes and associated industry waste materials. The company was formed in 2000 and employs more than 350 people at its office, processing sites and operations bases both onshore and offshore.

Presently located in the UK, Norway, Americas and MENA region, the company is undergoing an exceptional period of growth and international expansion.
