UMG, Bayanat Demonstrate Kongsberg EM2040 Multibeam Echo Sounder in UAE

Unique System FZE, a Unique Maritime Group Company and one of the world’s leading integrated turnkey subsea and offshore solution providers, in association with Bayanat Mapping & Survey Services, a leading provider of geospatial products and services, announced the launch and demonstration of EM 2040 Multibeam Echo Sounder on Bayanat’s survey catamaran, at Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The launch featured the first demonstration in the Middle East of the Kongsberg EM2040 Multibeam Echo Sounder, the first system to bring all the advanced features of deep water multibeams to the near bottom sounding environment. The basic EM 2040 has four units, a transmit transducer, a receive transducer, a processing unit, and a workstation. Unique System is the exclusive representative of Kongsberg Maritime products in the Middle East.

During the launch and demonstration, there were individual sessions focused on;
