Video: US Coast Guard Flaunts the Latest Drug Bust

The U.S. Coast Guardsmen offloaded 719 kilograms of cocaine at Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, Florida, on September 18, 2014. The crew aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Bear interdicted the USD 23 million worth of cocaine from a container ship on September 8, 2014.


The Coast Guard Cutter Bear intercepted the 208-foot cargo vessel Borocho northeast of Panama in international waters of the Caribbean Sea. After the boarding was complete, the boarding team discovered the contraband cocaine cargo worth an estimated wholesale value of more than USD 23 million.

US Coast Guard Flaunts the Latest Drug BustPrior to the offloading of the cocaine, Coast Guard Station Miami Beach crew members conducted an at sea transfer of the cocaine from the Coast Guard Cutter Bear off the coast of Miami.
