USA: 2H Offshore Reaches 100 Employees

2H Offshore Inc., an Acteon company, is celebrating the achievement of reaching 100 employees, this week. The office, which was established in Houston, Texas in 1998 by Vice Presidents, David Walters, Ricky Thethi and Mike Campbell, has grown steadily over recent years as a result of increased project work in the Gulf of Mexico and internationally, and has recently relocated office to accommodate the growing team.

Notable projects that have facilitated the growth of the office over the years include: the detailed design of the Thunder Horse Semi SCRs; detailed design of the Devil’s Tower and Front Runner Spar top tensioned risers; subsea and riser integrity management for BP’s GoM assets; freestanding containment riser detailed engineering, fabrication management and installation support and Chevron Tahiti’s riser and flowline monitoring and management.

Most recently, 2H Offshore Inc. secured its largest project to date; the detailed design and procurement management of the Chevron Big Foot TLP riser systems, which will comprise 2 high-pressure drilling risers, 15 production/water injection top tensioned risers and oil and gas export steel catenary risers.

Commenting on the important milestone, Vice President David Walters said, “We are extremely proud of the success the 2H Houston office has attained over the past 14 years. Now with 100 employees, we have the technical capability and man power to support an increased project workload, and look forward to continued growth in the future”.

The milestone event was celebrated with a company party on Wednesday.
