USA: Gasfin Files to Export LNG to Non-FTA Nations

Gasfin Files to Export LNG to Non-FTA Nations

Gasfin Development filed an application with U.S. DOE to export up to 74 Bcf/y (or 0.2 Bcf/d) of LNG for a 20-year term to nations without a Free Trade Agreement with the United States.

Gasfin is seeking this export authorization in conjunction with its proposal to develop, own and operate the Gasfin LNG Export Project, a mid-scale natural gas liquefaction and LNG export terminal to be located along the Calcasieu River in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

Gasfin currently has received long-term authorization for the project from DOE/FE to export 74 Bcf/y of LNG to any nation with which the United States currently has, or in the future enters into, a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
