Moffatt & Nichol Appoints New Senior Engineer & Estimator

Moffatt & Nichol announced the addition of Jerry L. Neal, PE to the firm’s Walnut Creek office.

With over 37 years of experience with major civil and marine construction and engineering projects, both domestic and abroad, he will serve as a Senior Engineer and Estimator at Moffatt & Nichol.

Prior to joining Moffatt & Nichol, Mr. Neal was the Chief Estimator for The Dutra Group for 11 years. In this role he managed an estimating staff of lead estimators, engineers, contract administration personnel and cost engineers.

Mr. Neal brings a strong understanding of project management and estimating on a variety of projects, including ports, dams and levees, power plants and mines. His past projects of particular note include the Port of Los Angeles’ Cabrillo Way Marina, which Moffatt & Nichol designed, permitted and provided construction support services on; Port of Oakland’s Phase 3E (-)50 foot deepening project; Port of Los Angeles’ Berth 102; Port of Anchorage’s annual maintenance dredging; and various levee rehabilitation and strengthening projects in the California Delta.
