USA: Officials Provide Update on Hernando Dredging Project

Officials Provide Update on Hernando Dredging Project

Hernando County Transportation Services staff has confirmed that the final surveys of the channel have been submitted by the project contractor and approved/accepted by the County Engineer.

The surveys show that the channel meets the minimum 6’ depth as required by the contract.

All dredging equipment has been demobilized with the completion of the restoration of Snapper Canal at the material offloading site. While all equipment has been removed from the channel, work continues at the offloading site for restoration along with all other punch list items. The contractor remains on track for the completion of the punch list items by the March 23rd deadline.

Hernando County staff continues to install the new permanent channel markers.
