USA: Yaquina Arrives at Siuslaw River to Start Scheduled Dredging
The trailing suction hopper dredge Yaquina has arrived at Siuslaw River on Sunday to commence the first of eight scheduled days of dredging.
The dredging has been secured through U.S. Rep. Peter DeFazio’s Water Resources Reform and Development Act which guarantees 10 percent of the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund (HMTF) be utilized for small harbor dredging, Siuslaw News informed.
The eight days of dredging of Siuslaw River mouth will be spread over several months.
