Vattenfall Looking for Designer of Foundation Accessories

Vattenfall has issued a call for tenders for the design of secondary and tertiary structures and electrical outfitting on offshore foundations such as monopiles and jackets.

This includes items such as boat landings, ladders, platforms, railings, crane, skirts, attachments for corrosion protection systems, internal platforms, cable hang-off systems and other appurtenances, as well as interim or permanent structures for transportation or storage.

For electrical outfitting, the scope includes complete internal electrical design of monopiles and transition pieces, including attachment points, wiring, alignment on interfaces and according to local legislation for items such as lighting or signalling, parts list etc.

The tender covers Vattenfall’s current wind farms, located in Denmark, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK, and potentially other countries.

The company aims to sign a framework agreement with up to 5 operators for a period of two years, with the value of contracts totalling between EUR 4 and 6 million.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is 23 August 2016.
