Vattenfall Needs CTVs for Danish Offshore Wind Farms

Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S has issued a contract notice for the provision of crew transfer vessels (CTVs) for the company’s offshore wind farms in Denmark.

The tender is divided into several sub-tenders for specific offshore wind farms, and there is one lot for general ad-hoc and short and long term charters.

Lot 1 covers the provision of a total of three CTVs for the operations and maintenance Horns Rev 1 offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. The vessels would operate from the Port of Esbjerg. The charters are scheduled to start in April 2020 and run until March 2020, with one of the charters running for six months during the 2020 summer campaign only.

Lot 2 is reserved for CTVs that will operate during the construction of the Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. Two CTVs will operate on the wind farm from April 2020 until the end of October 2021. There is also an option for the hire of additional CTVs. The vessels will be based in port Rødvig.

Lot 3 covers the operations and maintenance phase of the Kriegers Flak wind farm. Two CTVs will operate on the wind farm, one from January 2021 to December 2023, and the other from March 2021 to December 2023. The vessels will be based in port Klintholm.

Under Lot 4, Vattenfall intends to enter into contracts with five parties providing framework agreements for ad-hoc or additional short and long term charter of CTVs for all Vattenfall’s offshore wind farms in Denmark, and the company’s future projects in Denmark. The framework agreements would run from April 2020 to December 2023.

The tender remains open until 3 January 2020.
