Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Tours Kherson Shipyard

On September 17, 2013, within the framework of a working visit to Kherson Region, Mr. Yury Boiko, the Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine, paid a visit to PJSC Kherson Shipyard (KSY).

During the visit Mr. Yury Boiko took part in the ceremony of handing over a tanker of RST 27 project, named SVL UNITY,  to the owner- Maltese SVL Group. The vessel marks the completion of the series of three tankers, product-carriers of RST Project, built at KSY.Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Tours Kherson Shipyard

Mr. Oleg Fedak, the Director General of KSY,  handed over the Acceptance-Delivery Report of the vessel to the master of SVL UNITY Mr. Igor Voronin, having wished successful work to the vessel.

Mr. Yury Boiko,  on behalf of the President of Ukraine Mr. Victor Yanukovich and the Ukrainian government, congratulated the shipyard employees on this accomplishment.

“For us all this is a great event, since it is the first time over the last several years, that a series of complete tankers has been built in Ukraine. I am sure that some more modern ships will be built at this company, and this means that new working places will appear, bringing new salaries; shipbuilding acting as a locomotive  will bring about the development of all branches of industry,” the Vice-Premier said.

After the ceremony, Mr. Yury Boiko, and guests of honour stepped aboard SVL UNITY , where they familiarized themselves with the equipment and the vessel’s control systems.
