VIDEO: Animation of Rampion Offshore Wind Farm

An application for the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm project has been resubmitted by E.ON to the Planning Inspectorate on March 1st. The company revised the initial plans prior to the first submission of the application, reducing the maximum number of proposed turbines by 20, meaning the project would feature between 100 and 175 turbines, depending on the model selected.

After that, E.ON temporarily withdrew the application to resolve some remaining issues.

The offshore wind farm would have an installed electrical capacity of up to 700MW, which is estimated to generate enough electricity to supply the equivalent of around 450,000 homes.

The following is an animation video of the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, comprising two versions of the project. The first part of the video shows the offshore wind farm with 195 wind turbines with 3.6 MW capacity and the other part shows how the project would look like with 100 wind turbines with the capacity of 7 MW.
