Building of the Environmentally Friendly M/S Viking Gracee

Recently launched M/S Viking Grace represents a completely new generation of ferries and will offer innovative, alluring and exciting experiences to 2,800 passengers. SBT brings you the thrilling building process of the world’s most environmentally friendly passenger ship, M/S Viking Grace, built at STX Finland Turku shipyard.

The newbuild concept incorporates environmentally friendly solutions, such as LNG and electrical propulsion, thus she will be able to comply with the 2015 Baltic regulation on gas emissions. The ship, featuring a large variety of novel technological innovations, has attracted a lot of international attention already during the construction phase. In addition to the fuel solution, such features as the ship’s machinery configuration, advanced energy saving solutions, new innovative ways of taking advantage of passenger areas, and versatile restaurant services have attracted special attention.
