Recently, the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) and Blade Dynamics announced their cooperation on the development of the world’s largest wind turbine blades. The blades will be between 80 to 100 metres in length, incorporating carbon fibre rather than conventional fibre glass. This compares with blades currently deployed offshore, which are between 60 to 75 metres in length.
