Vroon Holds Naming Ceremony for Subsea Support Vessel (The Netherlands)
Dutch shipping company, Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) held the namegiving ceremony for VOS Shine on Thursday 28 June 2012, in Den Helder, the Netherlands.
VOS Shine was christened by Mrs Gwen Klaphake, wife of Mr Rolf de Vries, Managing Director, Blue Stream Offshore B.V.. Blue Stream Offshore B.V. is the first charterer of the vessel.
VOS Shine is a DP-2 Subsea Support Vessel, built at Fujian Southeast Shipyard, Fuzhou in China. It is a modern SSV with DP2-class notation and four-point mooring capabilities. The vessel has an extended moon pool, accommodation for 50, dual V-Sat dome with client and crew network, as well as satellite television. She is suitable for remotely-operated vehicle (ROV)/survey and construction diving jobs
