Vuot Song Shipyard Completes Tugboat for New Caledonia

Vuot Song Shipyard, a subsidiary of Roy’s Maritime in Vietnam, has just finished the construction of a 16m tugboat for New Caledonia.

The tugboat named ‘Taabya.on’ is 16 meters long, 6.20 wide, and will be used for the transportation of nickel in New Caledonia. The Taabya.on has a bollard pull of 16T and a maximun speed of 12 knots.

The tug, fully equipped by Roy’s Maritime, was supervised by the Bureau Veritas and the New Caledonian Maritime affairs.

Delivery of ‘Taabya.on’ is slated for early 2014.
