Weekly U.S. offshore rig count two units short year-over-year

The number of U.S. offshore rig remained unchanged last week but dropped by two units year-over-year, Baker Hughes, a GE company, stated in its weekly rig count reports on Friday. 

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +1 to 944 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 1 rig from last week to 944, with oil rigs down 3 to 756, gas rigs up 4 to 187, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.

U.S. Rig Count is up 436 rigs from last year’s count of 508, with oil rigs up 342, gas rigs up 95, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 16 and down 2 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +1 to 202 rigs

Canada Rig Count is up 1 rig from last week to 202, with oil rigs unchanged at 102 and gas rigs up 1 to 100.

Canada Rig Count is up 68 rigs from last year’s count of 134, with oil rigs up 28 and gas rigs up 41, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.
