Weekly U.S. offshore rig count up by one

Baker Hughes Incorporated has posted Weekly Rig Count reports according to which offshore rigs have clawed up by one unit, compared to the previous week.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. Unchanged at 709 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 709, with oil rigs up 17 to 541, and gas rigs down 17 to 168.

U.S. Rig Count is down 1,166 rigs from last year at 1,875, with oil rigs down 995, gas rigs down 170, and miscellaneous rigs down 1.
The U.S. Offshore rig count is 24, up 1 rig from last week, and down 34 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada -12 to 162 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 12 rigs from last week to 162, with oil rigs down 2 to 71, and gas rigs down 10 to 91.

Canadian Rig Count is down 229 rigs from last year at 391, with oil rigs down 119, and gas rigs down 110.
