Western Bulk Broadens Its Services

Western Bulk, a leading global operator of dry bulk vessels, has decided to strengthen its Panamax team by employing a team of 9 persons previously employed by K2 Shipping in Oslo.

In addition, K2 Shipping will be re-letting some cargo contracts and chartered-in vessels to Western Bulk. The team from K2 Shipping is very experienced and has a wide network of relationships to continue the development of Western Bulk’s Panamax business unit.

“This addition to our Panamax team enhances our reach in this part of the market and is a strong strategic fit with our business model as we see good opportunities to broaden our service for existing and new cargo clients“, says Jens Ismar, CEO of Western Bulk.

Mr Knut Lind has been appointed as the business unit manager for the Panamax unit.
