Wilson Sons in two-year PSV contract with Petrobras

Ocean Wilsons’ operating subsidiary Wilson Sons has signed contracts with Brazilian state-owned oil and gas company Petrobras for the lease of three Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) for a period of two years.

The deal has been made through Wilson Sons Ultratug Offshore, a subsidiary in which Wilson Sons has a 50% interest.

These three vessels, Albatroz, Gaivota and Fragata, have a deadweight of 3,000 tons and are equipped with Kongsberg’s dynamic positioning systems. The vessels, which have previously operated long-term contracts with Petrobras, were in the spot market since October 2015.

The company also announced that the vessel Mandrião was available in the spot market. The vessel, which has a deadweight of 3,000 tons, is in the process of registration in the REB (Special Brazilian Registry) to operate as a Brazilian flag vessel.
