SEA said that this will enable it to utilize the ICE Platform, and enable rapid delivery of engineering and a mature digital basis of design to be carried into FEED.

SEA have subcontracted Intecsea to provide specialized deep water experience gained on international projects.

The Scarborough field is located 375 kilometers west-north-west of the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia.

Estimated to contain 7.3 Tcf (2C) of dry gas, Woodside is proposing to develop the Scarborough resource with 12 subsea, high-rate gas wells tied back to a semi-submersible platform moored in 900 m of water close to the Scarborough field.

The proposal for development of the field includes a 430km large diameter export trunkline routed from a deep water infield facility, up and over the continental shelf and onto the Woodside operated infrastructure on the Burrup Peninsula.

Woodside is targeting a front end engineering and design (FEED) entry in 1Q 2019 and a final investment decision (FID) in 2020. A phased development drilling program is proposed, comprising seven wells, targeting upstream ready for start-up in 2023.
