The company noted in its quarterly report earlier this year that an integrated NWS project turnaround was planned for September, however, a company spokesperson confirmed that the turnaround is still being undertaken.

In an emailed statement to LNG World News, Woodside spokesperson noted that the turnaround campaign involves LNG train 5, fractionation, North Rankin complex and North Rankin train 2.

“If there is any material impact to Woodside’s 2019 production guidance it will be communicated in line with our market disclosure requirements,” the spokesperson noted.

The Karratha gas plant, part of the NWS project, includes five LNG processing trains, two domestic gas trains, six condensate stabilization units, three LPG fractionation units as well as storage and loading facilities.

It has an annual LNG export capacity of 16.9 mtpa which is supplied mainly to companies in the Asia Pacific region.

Woodside operates these facilities on behalf of the NWS project participants. Other NWS JV partners are BHP Billiton, BP, Chevron, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) and Shell.
