Woodside to shut Train 1 at NWS LNG

LNG player Woodside will shut Train 1 at its North West Shelf LNG project in the fourth quarter for a planned maintenance.

Australia’s Woodside expects to close the Train 1, with a capacity of 2.5 mtpa, for about 30 days, the company said in its third-quarter report.

The NWS LNG project produced 719,428 mt in the third quarter, compared to 610,241 mt in the quarter before.

According to Woodside, LNG production was higher due to increased reliability in Q3, and because a planned one-month shutdown was completed at Train 3 in Q2.

The NWS LNG project consists of five trains with a total production capacity of 16.3 million tonnes per year.
