The gas pipeline feeding Yemen’s only LNG export terminal was blown up again early on Sunday, Yemen LNG said in a statement.

The sabotage occurred at 00.35 hrs on 16th December, 2012 at 173 km north of Balhaf,” the company said.

The 320km pipeline has been attacked several times this year by suspected al-Qaida-linked gunmen.

It transports around 1.14 billion cubic feet/day from Block 18 in Marib province in northern Yemen to the Total-operated export terminal at Balhaf.

The Yemen LNG project has three long-term contracts to supply LNG to GDF Suez, Kogas and Total Gas & Power for a total of 6.7 Mtpa.
