Zawtika project starts delivering natural gas for Thailand

PTT Exploration and Production Public said that on 5 August the Zawtika Project began delivering natural gas to PTT Public Company for use in Thailand and is currently ramping up production to a rate of 240 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), which is the daily contract quantity (DCQ) as stipulated in the Gas Sales Agreement.

The project began delivering natural gas for domestic use in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar since March 2014, at a rate of approximately 60 MMSCFD.

The Zawtika project is the largest overseas offshore producing gas field operated by PTTEP.

PTTEP International Company Limited (PTTEPI), a subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), is the operator and holds an 80% participation interest in the Zawtika Project , and the other partner, Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise (MOGE) holds a 20% participation interest.
