Ørsted Puts Shoreline O&M Design Solution Into Action

Ørsted has implemented an O&M simulation and data analytics solution from Shoreline to support the development of its offshore wind farms.

According to the Danish company, Shoreline’s O&M design simulation solution enables the performance of a detailed long-term simulation of the operational logistics for any of its existing and future wind farms.

With the system, Ørsted said it is able to optimize the operational setup for its sites and be provided with extensive operational and financial KPI’s, thus integrating the long-term operational requirements with the long-term financial business cases.

Shoreline stated that the contract underlines how its simulation and optimization solutions can add benefit to the offshore wind industry and assist in the green transition.

“We are very proud and honoured that a very experienced global offshore wind developer and operator such as Ørsted has chosen our simulation solutions and found these to add value to their operations,” Shoreline said.

The cloud-based, patented and scalable simulation technology is said to allow customers to build virtual models of wind farms, to simulate and optimize the construction and operational phase during project development and the daily operation once commissioned, saving time and cost and increasing production output.
