120 RasGas Leaders Complete High Level Management Training Programme
The first team of 120 RasGas leaders recently completed a high level international leadership and management skills training programme conducted by Thunderbird School of Global Management.

The team included supervisors, section heads and managers from different departments of RasGas.

“As a company committed to continuous improvement and with “People” as a strategic choice, we recognise that we must continue to develop and strengthen the full capabilities of our people,” said Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, RasGas Chief Executive Officer, who attended the graduation ceremony.

“Though our leaders have already demonstrated their skills and knowledge to support our business, we know that RasGas’ sustained success depends on a dynamic range of knowledge, skills, and expertise,” he continued.

“With employees from over 60 different nations it is vital that RasGas leaders have the ability and confidence to work with, and lead, a diverse workforce. With the skills and management techniques gained during this programme, I am confident that they will continue to excel in managing our multi-cultural workforce and lead by example,” added Al Mohannadi.

“RasGas is committed to provide its leaders with the tools they need to leverage their full potential, and foster a high-performing culture,” said Erhama Al Kaabi, Chief Employee Development and Welfare Officer.

“Together, RasGas and Thunderbird developed programmes for four levels of leaders at RasGas, creating a common language of leadership to develop all our people and enable them to fulfill their capabilities,” said Al-Kaabi.

“As a result we can show our leaders that positive changes in performance is achieved efficiently and quickly through a collaborative approach,” he commented.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with RasGas in hosting this inspirational leadership event. RasGas Executive Leadership Team’s sponsorship of this wonderful event sends a strong signal about how seriously RasGas takes leadership development,” said Sarah Schwab, General Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Thunderbird.

The Learning and Development Department, under the guidance of the RasGas Executive Leadership Team and with the support of the Employee Development and Welfare Group, selected Thunderbird School of Global Management to deliver the training to leverage the full potential of RasGas people and promote a culture of excellence in performance.

With the training completed, RasGas leaders are now armed with global management leadership skills and empowered to engage employees, while aligning their work practices to RasGas corporate vision of being a world-class energy supplier striving for excellence. RasGas leaders will set new standards of leadership excellence, developing the skills and abilities of RasGas employees to meet current and future business challenges and meeting the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 while enjoying a challenging and rewarding career.
