6th Asia LNG Summit 2011 to Take Place in Shanghai, China

6th Asia LNG Summit (organized by CPPEI and Global Leaders Institute, Shanghai, China, Oct 26th – 28th) supported by the top three oil companies in China – CNOOC, CNPC and Sinopec – attracted more than 1,000 participants from 2006 to 2010.

The recovery in global LNG consumption in 2010, combined with anticipated gas demand growth in emerging economies of Asia-Pacific region presents opportunities for LNG exports, as does growing demand in Europe, where gas production is expected to decline and demand for gas-fired power generation is expected to grow. Especially, near-term LNG demand will be impacted by Japan, where the earthquake and tsunami damaged nuclear power facilities, resulting in strong demand for natural gas to fire electric power plants.

The increase in North American natural gas due to the shale gas boom and a projected increase in global gas demand mean that North America will become a liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter within the next few years. As a matter of fact, 6th Asia LNG Summit will provide North American LNG exporters the perfect opportunity to meet Asia-Pacific buyers, which are their potential customers.

More than 30 significant LNG Asia-Pacific importers are waiting for your presentation, including: CNOOC, CNPC, Sinopec, GS Caltex, KOLNG, Chubu Electronic Power, K-Power, Mitsui & Co. Ltd, Sumitomo Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Osaka Gas, Petronet LNG, PTT LNG, LNG Japan.
