India: Cochin Shipyard Reaps Awards

It was raining awards for Cochin Shipyard on 26 March 2012 when it walked away with the largest number of awards for its outstanding performance in Industrial Safety from the Factories and Boilers Department, Government of Kerala.

Cochin Shipyard was awarded the first prize in Safety film, Ambulance Room and second prize in Safety Committee category. CSL was also awarded a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding performance in Industrial Safety in the category of Very Large Factories-Engineering (employing more than 500 workers). CSL is receiving the Safety awards for the Second consecutive year.

The award was presented by the Hon`ble Minister for Labour and Rehabilitation, Shri Shibhu Baby John to Shri Sunny Thomas, GM(Ship Building) and Occupier, CSL at a function held at Kollam on 26 March 2012.
