Myklebust Verft Holds Naming Ceremony for PSV Evita

Ugland Offshore’s latest addition to the fleet – PSV Evita – was named during a ceremony in beautiful Geirangerfjorden, Norway, on Saturday 30th June 2012. The vessel is built at Kleven Maritime’s Myklebust Verft.

The Evita type VS 485 MK II PSV vessel is designed by Wärtsila Ship Design Norway, and in addition to design Wärtsila also delivered generator sets, automation and electrical systems.

The vessel’s dead weight is around 5,000 tons, length 85 meters, width 20 m and the deck area is in excess of 1000 m2. The design meets Clean Design and ice-class ICE C requirements, and the vessel is equipped for oil recovery, stand-by and rescue services.

J.J.Ugland (JJUC) returned to the offshore industry when they established Ugland Offshore in 2011. Ugland also owns bulk handling vessels, shuttle tankers and barges, and is involved in other maritime business.
